For most of his life, Sergio Muzlera carried a secret too heavy to bear. The weight of childhood sexual abuse followed him into adulthood, manifesting in ways he didn’t understand blurred vision, an overwhelming sense of shame, and a voice inside his head that told him he wasn’t worthy.

At 36, the silence broke. A routine doctor’s visit turned into a moment of raw honesty: “I was sexually abused as a child.” The words were a relief, but healing didn’t come easy. Medication numbed the pain, but it didn’t erase the memories. And for years, the mirror reflected not himself, but the face of his abuser.

Judgment came swiftly from some. Rejection. Fear. But so did something unexpected—love. A few trusted friends, a compassionate spouse, and, finally, a therapist who helped him open the door to healing. At 54, he took another brave step: speaking out, not just in private, but to the world.
Now, through his podcast and his voice, Sergio is reaching others still suffering in silence. His story is one of survival, resilience, and the courage to step into the light. If you’re struggling, if the weight feels unbearable, know this, if you’re a survivor, you are not alone.
